- The Belgian theatre company BERLIN wanted to pay homage to O Senhor do Adeus (João Manuel Serra): A well-known character from the streets of Lisbon who passed away in 2011.

- The idea of BERLIN was to realize a tile wall on a building façade in Lisbon, representing the waving man. They started preparing the campaign two weeks before the launch, gearing up social media and offline communi- cation.

- Among other rewards to the backers, they offered the ownership of a tile on the wall. The campaign lasted a total of 30 days and it only reached € 5,297.93 from 141 donors, mostly belonging to their networks in Belgium.

Campaign:“In preparation, we were primarily concerned with questions like "how do we get this campaign disseminated as quickly as possible?” For this a plan for social media and targeting allied companies was set up. Furthermore, communication through newsletters to the donors, printed flyers etc. .”
Time investment: Preparation (two weeks full time). The campaign : May to July (about six weeks). Aftercare ran from August to September.
