Reshaping the crowd’s engagement in culture - Study

CRUCIAL Crowdfunding is an ERASMUS+ supported project, designed to better inform all the different stakeholders who can potentially benefit from this innovative means of funding business ventures. The project will gather information on the current market conditions regarding the almost exponential growth of Crowdfunding.

The Crowdfunding Information Portal 

Crowdfunding.de has been providing information about crowdfunding since 2011. The aim of the information portal is to give interested persons an orientation and to create a transparent market overview. In doing so, crowdfunding.de informs independently, neutrally and comprehensively. 

Kreativ Muenchen offers expert support and advice for professional artists, creators and creative professionals at the city of München. 

They help with tips on qualifications and financing of your projects, information on administrative procedures and contact points with associations and local authorities. They also offer temporary rooms and networking opportunities. 

Their help is about: 

- Vocational independence 

- Qualification options 

- Financing strategies 

- Spaces for temporary use 

ASTER is the Consortium among the Emilia-Romagna Regional Government and regional education research and business actors (universities, reserach centers, union of the chambers of commerce). 

Some twenty researchers in Social-media-1076762_1920human and social sciences, mostly from the information and communication sciences, from CEMTI (University of Paris 8), CREM (University of Lorraine), and international researchers, are currently studying the phenomena of Crowdsourcing and Crowdfunding in the cultural field in France, the United States, Latin America and Africa.

Crowdfunding minimizes business risk-taking and increases entrepreneurship mind-set, which is why an unused crowdfunding potential represents a huge challenge especially in the eastern parts of central European countries. CROWD-FUND-PORT aims thus to improve skills and competences of all relevant stakeholder groups to prepare them for taking advantage of the crowdfunding phenomena. Change will be visible in improved financial conditions for start-ups fostering innovation, employment and social stability in the region. 

The European Digital City Index (EDCi) describes how well different European cities support digital entrepreneurship.

It was produced by Nesta as part of the European Digital Forum, which exists to support digital entrepreneurship and digital startups across Europe. The European Digital Forum is run in collaboration with the European Commission's Startup Europe initiative.
